Lahore: Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) will formally kick-start the mammoth books distribution drive from March 24, 2015 for the academic year 2015-16.
According to the PEF spokesman, a total of 6 million textbooks will be distributed among 1.6 million students enroll in 4 thousand partner schools in 36 districts of the province.
The books distribution campaign will start from Pasrur (Sialkot) on March 24 and will be held in phases in other districts, as well. A total of 20 books distribution points have been setup in different districts including Lahore. In order to streamline the books distribution among the partners, a books distribution committee has been setup with PEF Director Finance as its convener.
It may be added here that PEF provides monthly fee as well as free textbooks to the students enrolled in the partner schools across the province, concluded the spokesman.
