Citizen Facilitation Center is to be established at each district of Punjab: Dr Umar Saif

Lahore: Citizen Facilitation Center (e-Sahulat Markaz) is to be established at each district of Punjab to provide the common citizen with most of the basic services under one roof.

It was stated by the Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Dr. Umar Saif while addressing a meeting in his office on Thursday. He further elaborated that the project was launched by the PITB and in its first phase, two at Lahore while one CFC would be established at each divisional headquarters, whereon work is in progress with 82 percent utilization of allocated funds so far.

He informed that the first CFC had started working at DCO office Rawalpindi a month ago, where thousands of the applications regarding issuance of CNIC, Passport, Driving License, Route Permit, Fard of land ownership, Certificate of Domicile, Birth, Death, marriage, divorce, registration and transfer of vehicles, payment of Token Tax and Traffic fine had been received and processed on merit, without any bribery and wastage of time. He told that in Lahore one CFC would be constructed at Arfa Software & technology Park and the other one at Jinnah Town Hall, Lower Mall Road.

Dr. Umar Saif told that the satisfaction level of citizens was higher at Rawalpindi where a citizen named Iqtidar Hussain brought a bouquet for the staff when he was informed through SMS alert that his Domicile certificate was ready to collect. “The citizen rejoiced by the level of services he received there without wastage of time and money.

The inspired citizen declared it was a lauded the efforts made by the Punjab Government to ensure good governance in the province,” he added.
