Lahore: Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has shown extreme anger on the failure by provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkwa to hand over the Samadhi (Shrine) of Shri Hans Ji Maharaj, located at Theri, District Kirk.
He was talking to the journalists outside the Supreme Court, after appearing before the two-member apex court bench, headed by Chief Justice Supreme Court, here on Wednesday. On behalf of KPK Government, Advocate General appeared to the court while Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, patron-in-chief Pakistan Hindu Council and Member National Assembly was also there to present the viewpoint of minorities. On the occasion, the court has reportedly shown anger on KPK Government and directed to take solid steps to hand over the religious place to the Hindu community, and to ensure for reconstruction and to preserve it as well.
Latter, talking to the media, Dr. Ramesh Vankwani said that all the religions teach to respect each others Holy places and Hindus across the country have respectful religious feelings for the shrine of Shri Hans Ji Maharaj. In this regard, Dr. Ramesh, specifically named “Molana Sharif” a local cleric who, according to him, main character for the exploitation of religion and creating hurdles to handover the Hindu holy place. Dr. Ramesh further informed that a FIR was also registered in 1997 in local Police Station against his key role for the illegal occupation of the Samadhi.
He appealed that to establish a peace loving society, elements like Molana Sharif having vested interests must brought to justice, and discourage by all segments of society.
The hearing was postponed to next day on Thursday.
