Lahore: First Abdur Rahim Khan Memorial T 20 Cricket Tournament has started at Gymkhana Ground of Bagh-e-Jinnah where 70 famous clubs of Lahore taking part and first inaugural match was play between Rising Sun and Union Club. Chief Guest PTI Lahore President Abdul Aleem Khan inaugurated the tournament by playing a hit at the wicket. He was introduced by Chairman of the Tournament Mian Javed Ali to the players of both the teams while many other old players and youth were present on this occasion. Addressing the function, Abdul Aleem Khan said that sports is a basic tool to keep the youth healthy and provide them opportunities for health activities in the life. He said that as and when Tehrik-e-Insaaf come into power we would provide extensive sports facilities to the young generation at union council level. He said that recognition of Pakistan at international level is due to our national hero Imran Khan and he has clear manifesto to flourish this talent at all levels. Abdul Aleem Khan lauded the efforts of PTI Sports Wing and assured them his all out cooperation. MPA Mian Aslam Iqbal, PTI Leaders Mian Iftikhar, Dr. Zarqa Taimur, Furukh Javed Moon, Syed Rashid Riaz, Noshail Badar, Sheikh Aamer and Faisal Jutt were also present while sponsors Vicky Group of Industries and Park View Villas were represented by Waqas Raja. Management of the tournament was there and old cricketers Sarfraz Ahmed, Syed Kamal Shah, Malik Mohammad Riaz, Syed Habib ul Hassan Shah and Mohammad Islam took participation.
