Colourful events of National Horse and Cattle Show concludes

Lahore: Colourful events of National Horse and Cattle Show concluded, here today. A large number of people reached Fortress Stadium to see the tattoo show and events of last day night due to which the stadium was jam-packed.

Acting Speaker Punjab Assembly Sardar Sher Ali Gorchani was the chief guest of last day night events of National Horse and Cattle Show. His arrival was announced through Bigul sound. Peace show prepared by Punjab Sports Board and ISPR in the background of terrorist incident at Army Public School was liked by the audience and they appreciated the children participating tableaus of peace show by clapping. Real brothers and sisters as well as parents of martyrs were also present on the occasion who pledged to fight against terrorists. Fireworks, tent pegging, folk music, horse and camel dance were present in the evening events. Punjab Rangers presented beautiful sketches during candle parade.

The people appreciated jawans of Rangers on their expertise and capabilities. The citizens lauded the decision of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to hold National Horse & Cattle Show in difficult situation due to which not only healthy recreation was provided to the people but it also became symbol of national harmony and unity. Provincial Minister for Finance Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Minister for Food Bilal Yasin were also present on the occasion. In the end of function, souvenir of Horse and Cattle Show was presented to the chief guest while a photo album on behalf of Directorate General Public Relations Punjab.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq was the chief guest at morning events of the last day of National Horse & Cattle Show. Provincial Minister for Finance, Excise & Taxation Mujtaba Shuja ur Rehman, Member National Assembly Pervaiz Malik, Advisor to Chief Minister on Livestock Chaudhry Arshad Jutt, DG Rangers Punjab Maj. Gen. Khan Tahir Javed Khan, Members National and Provincial Assembly and senior government and military officials were also present on the occasion.

When the chief guest reached Fortress Stadium, national anthem was played and male and female students presented national songs. Later, students from all the provinces of Pakistan presented unity show in an organized manner and made beautiful map of Pakistan in the ground. The audience appreciated cavalcade of horses, camels and other cattle. They clapped when livestock of different kinds passed in front of them. The dance presented by the youth of different areas and provinces especially Chatrali and Khattak dance with swords was worth seeing. Parade presented by Rangers and army contingents on tunes of national songs and acrobats by army trained dogs were highly appreciated by the audience. In the end, video CD and photo album of the events of Horse and Cattle Show were presented to the chief guest on behalf of Directorate General Public Relations, Punjab.
