Spurious injections worth lakhs of rupees recovered from Hujra Shah Muqeem

Lahore: Parliamentary Secretary Health Kh. Imran Nazir conducted a surprise raid at a medical store at Hujra Shah Muqeem and spurious injections worth lakhs of rupees were recovered.

According to the details, Kh. Imran Nazir along with a team of Health Department, Police and District Administration conducted a surprise raid at Islami Medical Store, Main Bazaar, Hujra Shah Muqeem and recovered spurious Digesic injections, label and packing material worth lakhs of rupees and arrested a person. Fake sex tonic medicines were also recovered from the medical store.

Speaking on the occasion, Kh. Imran Nazir said that on the special direction of Chief Minister Punjab, crackdown against fake, sub-standard, unregistered and expired medicines will continue. He said that strict action will be taken against those involved in the sale of spurious drugs as no one can be allowed to play with the lives of innocent people.

Kh. Imran Nazir reiterated that he will continue to conduct surprise raids in various cities for eliminating spurious drugs. He told that a few days ago, a raid had been conducted in Faisalabad and spurious drugs worth lakhs of rupees had been recovered. He said that the raid at Hujra Shah Muqeem is a part of this campaign.
