Shahbaz Sharif visits Punjab Assembly after 8 months

CM PUNJAB shahbaz sharif is talking to media outside punjab assemblyLahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif after returning from the visit to Saudi Arabia went to Punjab Assembly from airport and cast his vote in the Senate election.He visited Punjab Assembly around 8 months,last time he had attended Punjab Assembly in budget session in June 2014.

He spent more than two hours in his chamber in Punjab Assembly and held meetings with PML-N candidates for the senate as well as assembly members. Senate candidates and parliamentarians congratulated Chief Minister Punjab on the discovery of mineral resources in Chiniot-Rajoa and wind corridors in Punjab and paid tributes to him on the programmes of public welfare and prosperity.

The Chief Minister informed elected representatives of the rousing welcome given to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his delegation in Saudi Arabia.

Later talking to media, the Chief Minister said that votes are being cast in national and provincial assemblies for electing candidates for the senate and this democratic process will further strengthen democracy as well as democratic institutions in the country.CM PUNJAB Shahbaz Sharif 2

Referring to the recent visit to Saudi Arabia, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his delegation visited Saudi Arabia on the invitation of Khadim-e-Haramain Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz and a rousing welcome was given to the Prime Minister and his delegation at Riyadh by the Saudi King.

He said that the glorious welcome given to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his delegation by the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi government and the people reflects that they have deep love and affection for the people of Pakistan and want to further strengthen the existing relationship of mutual love and brotherhood between the two countries.

Shahbaz Sharif said that during the meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Khadim-e-Harmain Sharifain Shah Salman bin Abdulaziz gave the message that Saudi Arabia is deeply interested in economic development and prosperity of Pakistan and its people and will extend full support for this purpose. He said that the new Saudi King has stressed that the relationship of love and brotherhood between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will stay forever.

He said that the recent visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia is of vital importance and will result in further strengthening of brotherly relations and economic ties between the two countries.

Meanwhile,Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Pakistan Muslim League-N candidates winning the senate election and said that the election process for senate has completed in a democratic manner. He said it is a matter of satisfaction that assembly members took an active part in the senate election. He said that PML-N government believes in democracy and is custodian of democratic traditions in the country. Shahbaz Sharif said that the success of PML-N candidates in the senate election is the victory of democracy and will result in strengthening of democratic institutions and values.

The Chief Minister expressed the hope that the newly elected members of senate will play their due role for the progress and prosperity of the country and the implementation of welfare programmes for the masses.
