Lahore: One day exhibition was held yesterday at local hotel For show casing the products of 950 women IDPs trained under Youth Resource Centre (YRC) is not for profit, registered organization working for communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since 2006 federal secretary skill development council Ahsan raja inaugurated the exhibition.People from different walk of life and other official visited the exhibition and take keen interest in idps women made products .
Federal secretary Ahsan raja appreciated idps women work and said govt ready for nay support for skilled people he told such exhibition should be more and he urged tain more idps women and govt provide any support need YRC implemented a project under Emergency Response Fund through UNOCHA in District Kohat for women IDPs, provided psychosocial support, Reproductive Health services and vocational trainings.
For show casing the products of 950 women iDPs trained under our skill development component; YRC arranged one day exhibition at Shelton Green Hotel; Peshawar. More then 19 stalls in exhibition in which IDPS women trained showcase their handmade products like dress sweater and others During this project; federal secretary distributed Trainees were provided certificates through Skill Development Council.
According to YRC project director Ume kalsoom Initiation of YRC was based on aim of promoting human rights with a special focus on youth, women and children. Since its inception; YRC in collaboration with several UN agencies, USAID, NGOs and Govt. Departments worked for uplifting lives of local people including TDPs through providing Education, Health, Protection and Wash services. Recently, YRC implemented a project under Emergency Response Fund through UNOCHA in District Kohat for women IDPs, provided psychosocial support, Reproductive Health services and vocational trainings.
