World Bank team visits Punjab University

Lahore: World Bank’s 3^rd party evaluation team headed by Dr Nazir Mahmood along with his team members has visited Office of Research Innovation and commercialization (ORIC) Punjab University.

During their visit, Dr Nazir interacted with ORIC officials and discussed various aspects with regard to role of ORIC towards research activities with special emphasis on commercialization of products/projects developed by faculty of Punjab University.

The team also met Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and discussed how to strengthen the role of ORIC towards research commercialization in the university. They also met the deans including Prof Dr Muhammad Ehsan Malik and Prof Dr Mussarat Abid and interviewed various faculty members and PhD students of different departments to get an insight on the interaction of ORIC with faculty and students in research related activities.

The World Bank team appreciated the efforts of ORIC for their active role for strengthening the research culture and building a level of confidence among the academia and industry to meet the current social and economic challenges.
