Lahore: CIA Police Lahore has detained a widow since 4 months in suspicion of dacoity.
The young widow Sabran Bibi was being locked up in CIA City under the supervision of SI Nadeem Shah who had taken her into custody some four months before from her native town Dera Gujran ,Sahiwal.
The village is situated in the administered area of Police Station Bedi.
It would be relevant to mention here that IGP had issued standing orders that no woman would be kept in any male dominated police station/centre for any reason & circumstances.The woman accused only be kept in woman police station.
Moreover no man would be confined or detained illegally but CIA police is in practising to keep citizens in illegally. Number of complaints lodged daily against police officials for illegal detention & allegation of bribery reported for registering arrest in the police logs.
