People can lodge complaints against private schools for overcharging on a toll free helpline

LGSLahore: Punjab Information Technology Board has provided a toll free helpline to the public in order to curb overcharging by schools in the name of security measures.

It was stated by Chairman PITB Dr. Umar Saif during a meeting, here today. He told that the citizens from anywhere in Punjab may call to 08000-2345 to report such malpractice as no public or private school may grab money from the parents on security issue and they are to adapt such measures at their own as per directions of Punjab Government.

Dr. Saif said that PITB has taken innovative steps to improve public service delivery which may succeed when people will play their own role.

This is the story of one of the school in karachi incresing the fees every year around 10 to 20 percent.they overcharging the fees from last six years.fees in 2009 was Rs 7200 and the current fees in the year 2015 is Rs 16000.Kindly check & take action against this unlawful increase.this unlawful increase is now unbearable for every parent.

  2. A local private school of Lahore Pakistan has charged annual funds including examination fee, fuel fund etc… Now students has asked to submit annual stationary too comprising of following items.
    Pencils 3 packets, erasers 24, sharpeners6, scales 6 small, colour pencils1 large packet, geometry, 2 chart papers
    Is it alright or parents are being over burdene.. What u suggest?

  3. I have a serious concern about advance fee of the private schools.can any one responsible in this govt look in to this matter.y can’t we pay our children fee monthly.we r salaried ppl how can we afford this non sense.

  4. in Morgah, a private school name “..scholar” which is unregistered and their teaching staff is just 8th, 9th or 10th class pass or fail students. who don’t know the basic English sentences and Urdu as well. they are too bad in maths and science but no one check it. if some one please check it and do what Law and policy say about education and it’s standard.
