ATC-1 LAHORE AWARDED DEATH SENTENCES TO 4 TERRORIST

Lahore: An Anti terrorism Court of Lahore has awarded death sentence to 4 terrorists of banned Al-Qaeda on 21 counts along with Life Imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10.8 Million in Jail Warders Murder Case.Court of Lahore

According to the Spokesperson of Prosecution Department, terrorists Afzaal, Abdul Hafeez, Zulfiqar and Karamat had attacked Jail Warders Hostel in Rasool Park Lahore on July 12, 2012 in which 10 under training Jail Warders of Khyber Pakhtunkha lost their lives while 7 other were injured. Security agencies started search operation for the arrest of the terrorists and it took them one year to finally capture them from Minar e Pakistan ground with heavy amount of ammunition.

Terrorists were tried under PPC 302, 324, 353, 145, 148, 120-A, 7-ATA and 3/4 ESA in ATC Lahore. Their finger prints and guns matched and identification parade was done. Having enough evidential support, the ATC-1 of Lahore today convicted the terrorists and awarded 21 times death sentence and 1 time life imprisonment with a fine of Rs 10.8 million to each of the terrorist.

The deceased Jail Warders include Muhammad Ali, Muhammad Asif, Shareef Uddin, Sardar Khan, Qamar uz Zaman, Khudaay e Noor, Yasir Maaruf, Muhammad Fayaz, Shafqat Rizwan and Azmat Hussain. The court convicted the same terrorists in another case today for carrying arms. They were convicted for 2 times life imprisonment and 14 years of rigorous Imprisonment. Deputy Prosecutor General Rai Asif Mahmood represented the state in case and convicted the terrorist.
