Bilal Yasin visits general bus stands to monitor the implementation on new transport fares

Bilal Yasin visits general bus stands to monitor the implementation on new transport faresLahore: Provincial Minister for Food, Bilal Yasin visited general bus stands of Gujranwala, Wazirabad and Mandi Bahauddin to monitor the implementation on new transport fares. DCO Gujranwala Azmat Mahmood, Secretary RTA Gujranwala and other officers were also present on the occasion.

Bilal Yasin checked the flexes of new fares displayed at bus stands and inquired from the passengers about the decrease in fares. He expressed satisfaction over the performance of district administration.

Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Yasin said that it is the mission of the government to provide maximum relief to the people. He said that government has won the hearts of people by decreasing the prices of petroleum products substantially. He said that steps are being taken for providing all basic amenities to the people at their doorstep. The Provincial Minister further said that 100 percent implementation is being ensured on the reduction in transport fares. He directed DCO Gujranwala and Secretary RTA to ensure implementation on new fixed fares for providing relief to the people according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab and fare lists should also be displayed in the busses.

Bilal Yasin directed Secretary RTA and traffic police to conduct checking on various routes after office hours and take strict action against the elements involved in overcharging. He directed that the light system and other facilities should be further improved at bus stands. The passengers told the Minister that after the reduction in prices of petroleum products, fares have decreased in Gujranwala and implementation is also continuing on it. They also appreciated the effective steps taken by Chief Minister Punjab and the provincial government in this regard.
