28 students become unconscious due to suffocation during a ceremony in a school

Lahore: At Least 28 students become unconscious due to suffocation during a ceremony organized by a local school management in Mughalpura.The young students immediately shifted by rescue teams to Services Hospital where their condition is reported out of danger.

Local MNA Sheikh Roheel Asghar,MPA and SP Cantt reached at the spot and monitored the rescue activity.

MS services Hospital Dr Omar Farooq Baloch has stated that the students became unconscious due to smoke in the hall.

Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while taking notice of the incident of becoming male and female students unconscious due to gas leakage in an educational institution in Mughalpura has ordered complete investigation for fixing the responsibility. He has also sought a detailed report of the incident from district administration.

The Chief Minister directed health authorities to provide all possible treatment facilities and care to the affected children.
