Bomb blasts at mosques and Imambargahs are an enemy conspiracy :Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the repeated incidents of terrorism in the country reflected the inefficiency of the law enforcement bodies.

He said that the bomb blasts at mosques and Imambargahs were an enemy conspiracy to plunge the country into sectarian strife. However, he said, there were no differences among the religious parties regarding terrorism as all of them were united on this front. He was addressing the participants of the JI central workshop at Mansoora, pic liaqat baloch

Liaqat Baloch said that the rulers were not ready to give up protocol or bury the VIP culture.

The worshippers of the status quo were afraid of the election of honest and true people’s representatives to the assemblies, he said, but added that the JI was determined to uproot these evils. .

The JI leader said that the government had failed to transfer the benefit of the record fall in the petrol prices to the masses. The POL prices had gone down all over the world whereas their prices were being raised again in the country.

Liaqat Baloch said that the elite class had been swallowing the national resources and only small amounts were allocated for public welfare, health and education. Had the national resources been spent judiciously, the poverty ratio in the country should not have been so high, he added.

He said that Balochistan, the biggest province of the country and full of mineral wealth, was not been provided reasonable funds for development which was the biggest reason of the sense of the deprivation of the Baloch people.

He slated Bangladesh tribunal’s decision awarding death sentence to a senior JI leader only for being faithful to Pakistan. He said it was unfortunate that the rulers in Islamabad had not uttered a word on this. He urged the world community to take notice of the matter.

Liaqat Baloch also stressed that the National Action Plan against terrorism should be implemented without any discrimination and the Baldia Town factory tragedy be also dealt with in the light of the JIT report.
