Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif called on Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Dawood Oglu in Islamabad, today. Matters of mutual interest and further promotion of Pak-Turk relations were discussed during the meeting.
Talking to Turkish Prime Minister, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that deep cultural, historic and brotherly relations exist between Pakistan and Turkey. He said that mutual friendship of Pakistan and Turkey is changing into useful economic ties. He said that the friendly relations of historic traditions between Pakistan and Turkey have entered into a new era.
Shahbaz Sharif said that Turkey is a sincere friend of Pakistan which has been standing with Pakistan in every hour of trial. He said that Turk Government and people have always supported their Pakistani brethren during flood, earthquake and other natural calamities. He said that various Turk companies are working jointly with Punjab government in various sectors.
The Chief Minister said that the splendid project of Metro Bus in provincial metropolis is a clear proof of Pak-Turk friendship. He said that PML(N) leadership gives special importance to its relations with Turkey. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, new avenues of cooperation have opened in economic, trade and social sectors between Pakistan and Turkey.
The Chief Minister said that Turkey has been put on the road to progress and prosperity during the present leadership and government of Turkey. He said that Turkey has become a great economic power of the world and the development of Turkey is a role model for us. Shahbaz Sharif said that the people of Pakistan and Turkey are tied with strong bonds of brotherhood, love and friendship and the friendship of both the countries is strengthening with the passage of time. He said that the relations of both the counties will further strengthen due to the visit of Turkish Prime Minister. He said that Pakistani people can never forget the love and cooperation of Turk brothers during earthquake and flood.
The Chief Minister said that Tayyip Erdogan Hospital equipped with modern medical facilities in district Muzaffargarh of south Punjab is an excellent gift of Turk government and the people for Pakistanis. Speaking on the occasion, Turkish Prime Minister Ahmed Dawood Oglu said that Turkey gives great importance to its relations with Pakistan. He said that the role of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in promotion of Pak-Turk friendship is commendable. He said that Turkey and Pakistan will march together in the journey of development.
