Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench has rejected the appeal of Hameed-Ullah, a terrorist of banned organization, and upheld the decision of Anti Terrorism Court Rawalpindi II. ATC Rawalpindi II had awarded the accused 69 times death sentence, life Imprisonment and imprisonment of 10 years 80 times on January 1st, 2011.
According to the spokesperson of Prosecution Department, the accused Hameed-Ullah was arrested from Wah Cantt’s entrance gate # 1 immediately after two suicide attacks on August 21, 2008. Hameed-Ullah was also a suicide attacker who failed to blast his jacket and was arrested in injured condition along with suicide jacket and hand grenade. 69 people lost their lives while 44 were injured in the blast.
The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench comprising Mr. Justice Sikandar Zulqernain Saleem and Mr. Justice Khalid Mahmood Malik rejected the appeal of the accused and upheld the full sentence of ATC Rawalpindi II in PPC 302, 324, 435, 436, 122-B, 7-ATA and Sections 4 & 5 of Explosive Substances Act. Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Usman represented the state in the case and convicted the terrorist.
