K-Electric Conducts its 5th Annual Safety Leaders Award

Lahore:  K-Electric through its press statement has announced that the company successfully conducted its 5th “Annual Safety Leader” award ceremony whereas awards are conferred in recognition of departments depicting a sustained Safety Performance along with promoting a positive safety culture within the company.

Statement added that at K-Electric, safety of the employees is imbedded as a core business value in the business plan. Besides various proactive measures taken, safety competition amongst departments is carried out on annual basis and a “Safety Leader Trophy” is awarded to the coveted winners. In line with this, K-Electric Region-III from Distribution Network was the winner amongst the Distribution Regions. Bin Qasim Power Station-I from Generation Plants. Transmission Department from Grid & Transmission, Transformer Workshop from Core Departments and Works & Estate from Support Department were declared Safety Leaders of 2014.

The winners of the 2^nd “Fire Safety & Housekeeping Award – 2014” for all KE locations excelling in area cleanliness and adherence to fire safety practices were KE – Technology Park office location and IBC – KIMZ for displaying the best housekeeping and fire safety practices.

This system also promotes a healthy competition amongst all business units aiming towards maximum safety precautions and environment protection measures.  KE is now headed towards its vision of ‘Compliance beyond Performance’ with an ultimate aim of creating an accident free atmosphere in the company.
