Lahore: Under the instructions of Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera after restructuring of CPO the concerned departments started working and in this way the first meeting of Operations was held today at Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Addl: IGP Operations, Rai Altaf.
DIG Elite Police Force / Special Protection Unit, Muhammad Tahir, DIG I&V, Muhammad Azeem Khan Laghari, Commandant Elite Police Training School, Col. (R) Saad Saleem, AIG Operations, Capt. (R) Romail Akram, AIG Inspection, Waqas-ul-Hassan, AIG Vigilance, Muhammad Ahsan Yonas, AIG Complaints, Faisal Ali Raja, AIG Legislative Business, Kashif Mushtaq Kanju and SP Control Room, Yasmin Bashir attended the meeting.
While briefing about the deployment of Special Protection Unit (SPU) and Elite police force for the security of 4000 foreign experts working on 164 public and private development projects in Punjab, as many as 3000 officials of SPU and Elite have been deployed, told the DIG Elite / SPU, Muhammad Tahir.
SP Inspection, Waqas-ul-Hassan told that the inspection of “Maal Khanas” across Punjab will be completed within the given time limit of two months by the IGP and for the purpose a four member committee headed by SSP Abdul Rab is working round the clock.
AIG Operations, Romail Akram told the performance of Punjab police regarding the implementation of National Action Plan in detail. He said that up till now on the violation of The Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Ordinance, 2015, under National Action Plan, police have registered 1005 cases and arrested 1362 violators. He further said that in this regard 569 landlords, 420 tenants, 21 property dealers and 352 Owners / Managers were also arrested by the police. Whereas, 75 persons were also fined added the AIG Operations.
All received threat alerts were immediately transmitted to various departments and personalities with the coordination of law enforcing agencies and the surprise pickets were also being set up.
