Punjab Chief Minister financially supports Malik Ishaq:Khurram Nawaz Gandapur

Lahore: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, the secretary general of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, has said that in 2008 when the PML-N government came into power it shifted the headquarters of banned terrorists’ organizations to Punjab under its wings. He said that the finding of the Senate committee were 100 per cent true. He said the Senate committee should also call the Punjab Chief Minister who is the biggest benefactor of foreign funds for banned organizations and madrassas and also call the Punjab IG Police for providing wrong information.

Talking to newsmen and office bearers at the central secretariat of PAT on Wednesday Gandapur said that the Punjab Chief Minister is issuing wrong and false statements regarding action being taken to implement the National Action Plan and measures to eliminate terrorism from the country. But, he said, the factual position is that even today the Punjab Police is protecting these banned terrorists organization on the instructions of the Punjab Chief Minister.

Gandapur said that the report that the mastermind of the Shikarpur incident is in Punjab is not astonishing but something we all expected as the killers of the Model Town incident still roam free in Punjab and nobody can arrest them here. He requested the Pakistan Army to take action against these murderers.

He said that several members of the Punjab cabinet have links with these banned terrorists organizations and are part of a larger land grabbing mafia who operate under the shadow of these organizations. He said these facts are an open secret and everyone in the province knows about them but cannot raise their voice owing to the backing of the Punjab Chief minister. He said that the two previous Governors of Punjab made these facts public.

Gandapur said that the former Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah acts as a go-between the government and these banned terrorists’ organizations. He said be it Model Town killings or the killings in Faisalabad the name of Rana Sanaullah always surfaces. He said the Sharif Brothers’ are forced to give protocol and protection to Rana Sanaullah as he is the eyewitness and plan maker of all these killings’ incidents.

Gandapur said that all what the Chairman of PAT Dr. Tahir ul Qadri are true when he said that the  government is not sincere in the implementation of the National Action Plan and does not want the elimination of terrorism from the country. All the statements in newspapers and on TV media are just an eyewash and the Sharifs’ are just making a fool of the Pakistani public as well as the international politicians. He said the Sharifs’ are part and parcel of these banned terrorists’ organizations. He said the Punjab Chief Minister took personal interest in getting bail for Malik Ishaq and also financially supports Malik Ishaq.
