Lahore: Secretary Information of the Jamaat e Islami, Ameer ul Azeem, while expressing deep sense of shock over the disclosure about the devastating fire at the Karachi Baldia Town Factory, has demanded of the investigation agencies to arrest the accomplice of the culprit at the earliest and bring to light the hidden facts.
In a statement here, he said that the culprit’s confession that the factory had been put on fire after its owner refused to pay Rs 200 million as extortion had proved that the apprehensions of this nature soon after the tragedy were not unfounded.
He said it was now the responsibility of the government to arrest the brutes who had burnt to death three hundred factory workers in vendetta after failure to receive extortion, and award them deterrent punishment.
He welcomed the court orders for prompt payments to the bereaved families and expressed the hope that the court would not tolerate any obstruction in the dispensation of justice to the affected families.
