Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Kashmiri people are facing worst atrocities and rendering supreme sacrifices for the achievement of right of self-determination. However they cannot be denied their basic right with state oppression and cruelty, he added. He said that solution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions is essential for a durable peace in the region and international community should play its due role in this regard.
In a message on Solidarity Day with Kashmiris, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-N has fully highlighted Kashmir issue on all forums during its tenures and stressed the need for resolving Kashmir problem in accordance with the UN resolution and the aspirations of Kashmiri people. He said that Pakistan will continue to raise its voice at all international forums for upholding the due right of Kashmiris and all out political, moral and diplomatic support will be extended. He said that Pakistani people have strongly reacted to the cruelty and oppression of Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir and violation of human rights and Pakistani nation is standing with its Kashmiri brethren on the day of Solidarity Day with Kashmiris.
The Chief Minister said that denying Kashmiris of their right of self-determination through oppression in the present age of democracy and media is deplorable and it is need of the hour that Pakistan and India should sit together for resolving all issues including Kashmir problem in accordance with the desire of the people of Kashmir.
