Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has that reforms are being introduced in education, health, law and order and other social sectors so as to provide maximum facilities to the masses. He said that an effective system of check and balance is essential for the provision of best services to the citizens, therefore, Punjab government is introducing the system of reward and punishment in the provincial departments and institutions. He said that the purpose of this step is to encourage the officers and staff showing good performance and to hold inefficient officials accountable.
Addressing a high level meeting, the Chief Minister said that targets have been set in education, health, law and order and other social sectors at the provincial and district level and the concerned departments and institutions will have to play an active role for their achievement. He said that education and health sectors as are directly linked with the masses and there is a need to achieve the targets set in these sectors for bringing improvement.
The Chief Minister said that administrative officers and staff showing good performance at district level with regard to education, health, law and order and other social sectors will be fully encouraged while inefficient officials will be held accountable. He said that it is necessary to work as a team and show results so as to come up to the expectations of the citizens.
