PIA, NBP moves into the final of the First Chief of the Army Staff Challenge Hockey Cup

Lahore: Pakistan International Airlines and National Bank of Pakistan have moved into the final of the First Chief of the Army Staff Challenge Hockey Cup at the Army Hockey Stadium here on Friday. PIA beat Sui Southern Gas Company 4-1 and NBP beat Army (Seniors) 2-1. The final will be played on 1st February (Sunday).

PIA faced little resistance from Sui Gas as they convincingly outclassed them in the first semifinal. Nohaiz Malik, Kashif Ali, Atif Mushtaq and Zubair Mehmood scored one goal each from the airliners. NBP, however, fought hard in a nerve-wrecking second semifinal to beat Army (Seniors). Ali Shan and Bilal Qadir scored from the bankers while Mohammed Imran scored from the Army. Army and Sui Southern Gas Company will lock horns for the third position match on Saturday (today).
