Lahore: After giving the teaching status to the District Headquarter Hospital Sargodha, the hospital has been formally attached with the Medical College, University Of Sargodha. In this connection, Secretary Health Jawad Rafique Malik and PRO-Vice Chancellor, University of Sargodha, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Hassan Dogar signed a document at Civil Secretariat, here today.
Secretary Health informed that DHQ Hospital Sargodha has already been given teaching status and the specialists doctors of medical college, University of Sargodha are providing consultancy and treatment facilities to the patients of the hospital. However, these arrangements have been documented.
He further said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif DHQ and THQ hospitals are being strengthened by ensuring availability of doctors, presence of nurses and Para-medical staff and provision of medicine. He said that affiliation of DHQ Teaching Hospital Sargodha is also an important step towards this goal. He further said that it would also provide opportunities to the graduates of Sargodha Medical College for doing their house jobs and other clinical studies, as well as diagnostic and treatment facilities for the patients of the hospital would also enhance.
Principal Sargodha Medical University Prof. Dr. M. Ashraf Niazi, Medical Superintendent, DHQ Teaching Hospital Sargodha Dr. Pervaiz Haider, Regional Director, Higher Education Commission Nazir Hussain, Principal Nawaz Sharif Medical College Gujrat, Prof. Sajjad Hussain, Chief Planning Officer Health Department, Abdul Haq Bhatti and other officers also present on this occasion.
