Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal has said that all stakeholders should be consulted for preserving historical buildings inside the city and a strategy should be evolved in the light of their proposals.
Presiding over a meeting of Walled City Authority, the Chief Secretary said that cultural heritage is a national trust and no stone will be left unturned to preserve it. He said that creating awareness among the people about preserving historical buildings is need of the hour.
Khizar Hayat Gondal said that historical buildings of cultural importance inside the city are national asset and their protection is our national obligation. Officials of Walled City Authority, Secretary Sports, DCO Lahore and other officers attended the meeting.
