Lahore: A delegation of private schools owners attached with the Punjab Education Foundation under its Foundation Assisted School (FAS) program of free education in the districts of Kasur, Mianwali, Khushab and Attock called on the Chairman, Punjab Education Foundation Engineer Qamar ul Islam Raja, at his office on Thursday.
While talking to the delegation, Chairman PEF said that partnering schools are playing an important role in the promotion of gratis school education in the deserving communities. This partnership has opened the doors of free quality education to the needy children who otherwise would have been deprived of this basic right. He said that partnering schools showing good results are fully encouraged to ensure that their students could wholly benefit from the facility of quality education. He said that partnering schools should teach and train their students in a way that would make them socially responsible as well as confident and energetic.
He termed the Foundation Assisted School program as a flagship initiative which has strengthened low-cost private schools through various useful interventions.
Chairman PEF further said that Education Sector Reform Program has steadily charting a road to reforms that have benefited the students’ community. On the occasion, delegation members praised PEF sponsored free education programs for the needy students and said that these programs are helping the needy students in their education.
