Lahore: Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin visited various educational institutions of Lahore consecutively for six days today and checked security arrangements. He asked teachers and students to remain alert regarding security and play their role by lending helping hand to government efforts being made for the protection of life and property of the people.
According to the details, Bilal Yasin paid surprise visits to College of Home Economics Gulburg, Govt. College for Women Gulburg, The City School, Hajveri University and KIPS College Gulburg, AC Modal Town, TMA, EDO Education accompanied the Minister.
During his visit to College of Home Economics, Bilal Yasin expressed satisfaction over security arrangements and said that the girl students should be informed about protective measures during assembly in the morning. He termed security arrangements at Govt. College for Women Gulburg unsatisfactory and directed the principal to immediately install alarm system and set up control room in the college. He said that protection of children is our responsibility.
The Provincial Minister said that the entire nation is fighting war against terrorism. He said that teachers will have to be active for making government steps effective. He warned that no negligence will be tolerated in this regard. He said that the security of educational institutions is our collective responsibility for continuing education.
Bilal Yasin said that parents should also inform the children about protective measures and keep their morale high. He directed principal of The City School to further raise boundary wall of the college and also deploy security guards.
