MPA leads sit-in against the brothers sugar mills Chunian

Lahore: Large number of sugarcane growers staged sit-in to protest against non-payment of dues outside Brothers Sugar Mill Chunian under the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League -Q Member Punjab Assembly Vickas Hassan Mokal.

After holding successful negotiations with the mills management, Vickas Hassan Mokal told media that all our demands have been accepted and the mills management has assured that farmers dues of Rs 30 lakhs will be paid in a day or two while Rs 10 lakhs will be released every week and any grower bringing sugarcane will be made payment for his produce the same day.

On acceptance of their demands, the farmers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to MPA Vickas Hassan Mokal and ended the protest peacefully.
