Lahore: Punjab Health Department has granted deputation to 37 doctors working in different hospitals in the province for admission into various post graduate training courses at Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) Lahore with immediate effect. These doctors have been directed to report to the office of the Principal PGMI immediately.
According to the conditions mentioned in the notification issued by the Health Department, the deputationist will not leave the PG training course incomplete, failing which he/she will be liable to refund the entire amount spent on the training along with any penalty which may be imposed by the government. Moreover, the deputationist will be required to serve government for a period of 3-years after completion of post graduate course. During training he/she will not be allowed to enroll himself/herself in any other PG training course. The deputationist will not be allowed to indulge in private practice during the period of deputation and will be entitled to draw Non Practicing Allowance (NPA) as admissible under the rules.
The services of MOs/WMOs, after completion of PG training will be placed at the disposal of Director General Health Services Punjab for further posting in some rural area and they will also stand debarred from any deputation both inside and outside the country for a period of 3-years. The deputationist will be entitled to draw pay and other allowances as admissible under the rules.
