LGH to start Movement Disorder Clinic on every Saturday:Prof Anjum Habib Vohra

Lahore: With a view to improve clinical services in Neurosurgery Department of Lahore General Hospital (LGH), a combined “Movement Disorder Clinic” is going to start on every Saturday from 11:00am to 01:00pm. All the cases with movement disorders including Parkinson disease, Dystonia, Chorea, essential tremors would be examined in Neurosurgery OPD on Saturday in room no.4.

Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute/Lahore General Hospital Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra informed that a Multi Disciplinary Team headed by Prof. of Neurosurgery Dr. Khalid Mehmood has been constituted for the treatment of movement disorder patients. The other members of the team are included Neuro-physician Dr. Shahid Mukhtar and Physiotherapist Hafiz Ijaz.

Prof. Anjum Habib Vohra further said that earlier a special procedure of Deep Brain Stimulation was also introduced in the LGH for the treatment of Parkinson and other Neuro disorders and the new invention of Movement Disorder Clinic will further enhance the facilities for the treatment of neurological disorders.
