Governor Chaudhry Sarwar awards UGI for outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility services

UIG Picture Jan 11Lahore: Governor of Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has awarded United International Group (UIG) for outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) services.

The award distribution ceremony was held at a Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore during which the Governor lauded UIG for its services to humanity and for promoting Islamic Insurance Model.

He asked businessmen to keep serving the country while educating masses to overcome budget deficit and unemployment.He also asked the business community to assist the government through concrete proposals on economic matters and taxation etc. so that system could be improved which is imperative for economic development.

On the occasion, Chairman of UIG Mian Shahid said that we aspire to be known as a company dedicated to community service and making a positive difference in the communities.We are the first window takaful operators in the country. We believe in serving humanity, teamwork, and honesty, he added.

He said that business is a money making procedure but the businesses that focus only on profits can never be successful. The business leader said that our hard work has resulted in expansion of UIG inside Pakistan and abroad. Currently, United Insurance Company, Apna Microfinance Bank, SPI Insurance, United Track System, Tawasal Insurance Services Abu Dhabi and some other companies are operating under the umbrella of this group.

Mian Shahid said that the economic policies of the government are moving in right direction which has improved the confidence of business community.
