Balloting of Suzuki Ravi and Bolan held at Rawalpindi

Minister Labour Raja Ashfaq SarwarLahore: Balloting of Suzuki Ravi and Bolan was held at Rawalpindi in the presence of office-bearers of Chambers of Commerce & Industry, media representatives, elected representatives, Pakistan Muslim League-N office-bearers, administrative officers and representatives of civil society for providing these vehicles to unemployed persons of Attock, Jehlum, Chakwal and Rawalpindi districts on easy installments under Apna Rozgar Scheme of Chief Minister Punjab. Provincial Minister for Labour Raja Ashfaq Sarwar inaugurated the balloting by pressing the computer key. Commissioner Rawalpindi, RPO Rawalpindi, DCOs, Malik Abrar MNA and people belonging to various walks of life were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the ceremony, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that PML-N government led by Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is endeavoring for the bright future of the youth and provision of vehicles to unemployed persons on soft terms is a step towards this direction. He said that earlier in 2011, yellow cab scheme was completed successfully and its recovery was 100 percent in Rawalpindi district. He said that present schemes was prepared in a transparent manner and the winners of draw will be provided vehicles 40 thousand rupees less than the market rate on easy installments.

Referring to metro bus project, Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that government has launched such programmes in transport sector as are providing best travelling facilities to the people. He said that after completion of metro bus project, modern travelling facility will be available to the residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He also appreciated the efforts of administration of Punjab Bank for completing process in a transparent manner.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Zahid Saeed informed about the details of the scheme while representative of Punjab Bank informed about the method of computerized balloting.
