Every effort to undermine the madrissahs would be strongly resisted: Siraj ul Haq

Lahore: Ameer Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq, declared that every effort to undermine the mosques and the madrissahs would be strongly resisted while all those talking of demolishing and setting on fire the mosques would meet the fate of Abraha.

“Pakistan is like mother to us and the centre of our love, and living and dying fort the country is the part of our faith. These are no hollow slogans as we have offered lives for this country,” he added.

Addressing the national conference in memory of late Qazi Hussain Ahmad,Sirajul Haq said that anyone who took up arms in the name of religion was a criminal like the one who took up arms for any regional, ethnic or communal cause. He noted that the first decree against terrorism was given by the imam of the Holy Ka’ba.

He urged the government to try to create national harmony by striving to restore peace in the light of the decisions of the three APCs, instead of harassing the three million Madrissah students. The government should not shake the national unity created against terrorism, he added.

The JI chief said that the rulers could please the US by declaring a war against the Islam lovers and by executing them but in that case, they would not be earning the pleasure of Allah and His Prophet. He said that the religion should not be blamed for terrorism because religion only preached love, tolerance and harmony. He said that the government had not accepted the amendment presented by the JI although that was in the interest of all.

Sirajul Haq said that Qazi Husain Ahmad had struggle against injustice till his last breath. Qazi  Sahib was a practical man and people all over the world had great love and respect for him.

Provincial Minister for Education, Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan represented Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at second death anniversary function ceremony of former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami late Qazi Hussain Ahmed. The Minister acknowledged the services of Qazi Hussain Ahmed and termed him a great personality who made efforts for the promotion of religious harmony and philosophy of Allama Muhammad Iqbal and said that presently Pakistan also needs such a leadership as should bring fore such proposals within the system which could result in prosperity of people of Pakistan. He said that pivot of politics of Qazi Hussain Ahmed was to ensure rights to the oppressed and revival of Islamic values. He said that the nation is determined for complete eradication of terrorism and terrorists will be taken to their logical end.

Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan lauded political wisdom of Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj ul Haq Khan and said that he has proved the successor of late Qazi Hussain Ahmed in the real sense. He also conveyed special message of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to the participants that death of Qazi Hussain Ahmed, two years ago, was a great tragedy not only for politics of Pakistan but also for the family of late Mian Muhammad Sharif as late Qazi Hussain Ahmed had been playing an important role in settling mutual matters of Sharif family.

Speakers at the moot paid rich tributes to former Ameer of the JIP, Qazi Hussain Ahmad for his valuable services for the unity of the Ummah and for the solution of the problems facing the country and the Muslim world.  The moot held on the occasion of the second death anniversary of Qazi Hussain Ahmad, was addressed among others by Prime Minister’s Adviser Irfan Siddiqi, Pir Ijaz Hashmi, Mujibur Rahman Shami, Abdur Rashid Turabi, Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhary, Ibtesam Elahi Zaheer, Hafiz Raza kazim Naqvi, Sahibzada Ali Ahmed Sultan Bahu, Hassan Nisar.
