Shahbaz Sharif calls on Governor Punjab,discuss strategy on National Action Plan

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar met, here today. Matters of mutual interest, development projects and overall situation were discussed in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the unanimous decision of APC regarding war against terrorism is a historic. He said that the consensus on national action plan is a proof of maturity of national leadership.

The Chief Minister said that expression of confidence in Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif by national leadership for eliminating terrorism is a good omen. He said that extraordinary situation demands extraordinary steps. He said that bold decisions of APC are a milestone with regard to war against terrorism. He said that the decisions have been taken in APC with exemplary consensus for providing a safe and peaceful Pakistan to coming generations.

Shahbaz Sharif said that it is high time to implement national action plan against terrorism. He said that the terrorists will have to be held accountable for their cruelty and barbarism. He said that there is no place for terrorists and extremists in Pakistan. He said that brutal beasts committed worst brutality against innocent children in Peshawar, upon which, the entire nation is grieved.

The Chief Minister said that time has come to purge the country of terrorists forever and the entire nation has united and awakened for eliminating the menace of terrorism. He said that the scourge of terrorism will be rooted out with the force of unity of the nation and Pakistan will be made a haven of peace in accordance with the dreams of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the challenge of terrorism will be coped with an effective strategy and power of unity of the people. He said that 18 crore people of Pakistan have awakened to eliminate the curse of terrorism and political, religious and military leadership is determined to eliminate terrorists. He said that it is high time to eliminate terrorists from the country by displaying exemplary consensus and unanimity. He said that the time of speeches has passed and now it is time to take decisive action for which the whole nation is standing with Pak Army and law enforcing agencies.

The Chief Minister said that officers and jawans of Pak Army, police and citizens have rendered invaluable sacrifices in the war against terrorism and more than 40 thousand Pakistanis have sacrificed their lives in this war which is unprecedented in the history. He said that a new spirit, determination and full force exist in Pakistani nation and this is the right moment to take decisive action against the scourge of terrorism in which victory is the only option and, Inshaallah, we all will come up to the expectations of the nation and win the war at every cost for saving Pakistan.

On this occasion, Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar said that the consensus of national leadership over national action plan regarding war against terrorism a welcome step. He said that national leadership has taken decisions with regard to national action plan according to the expectations of the people.
