No compromise would be made on quality and durability of the mobile health units

MOU SigningLahore: The technical committee constituted by Secretary Health for purchasing mobile health units (MHU) has presented its report regarding specifications and quality of trailer vehicles of mobile health units. Priority would be given to trailer vehicles of international standard in purchasing 10 more MHUs and no compromise would be made on quality and durability in this regard.

This was announced in a meeting of technical committee presided over by Secretary Health Punjab Jawad Rafique Malik. Director General PCSIR Dr. Shahzad Alam, Professor of Polymer & Polyester Dr. Asif Ali Qasir of University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Engineer Muhammad Ali of Health Department, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, Engineers of ECSP and other officers were also present. The meeting discussed in detail the specifications of trailer vehicles, including the material used, chasis, frame and other parts. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the durability and performance of mobile health units working in South Punjab districts and Mianwali for the last many years and decided that while purchasing new mobile health units, standard of current mobile health units being used will be kept in view and bids would be sought from local and international firms through tenders. Secretary Health Jawad Rafiq Malik directed that formality should be completed at the earliest in accordance with the recommendations of technical committee and advertisements should be got published in newspapers for purchasing MHUs. He also directed to hold the next meeting on January 7.
