Lahore: The Government College University Lahore has organised the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference to express extreme amount of happiness and deep reverence on the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman chaired the conference which was also addressed by GCU Islamic Studies Department Chairman Prof Dr Sultan Shah, Mufti Muhammad Ramzan and Hafiz Khursheed Qadri.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Rahman said that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) gave the world a model social and economic setup and Muslims can adopt this setup just through acting upon the Sunnah. He said that being Muslim we should be loyal to our work and colleagues. He called Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) role model for all Muslims, adding that one can become a best human being and bring reforms in the society only by following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He also lauded the efforts of the university’s non-gazetted for organising the Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) Conference.
Later, the Vice Chancellor gave away certificates and shields to guest speakers and organisers.
