Lahore: K-Electric has submitted another request within a month’s period to NEPRA to reduce Rs.1.64 per unit on account of monthly Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA). It is pertinent to mention that at the start of this month KE had submitted a request to NEPRA for a tariff reduction of 0.74 paisa, which was approved. If the current reduction request is approved by NEPRA then the total reduction in last two months would be around Rs 2.38.
Spokesperson KE stated, “In almost 25 days, we have submitted a second request to NEPRA for tariff reduction to benefit our consumers. This reduction is mainly due to reduction in price of furnace oil. ”
Furthermore, with respect to KE’s submitted tariff petition, NEPRA will conduct a hearing in first week of January and once approved, this reduction will passed on to the consumers.
KE spokesperson added that “it will be a big relief for K-Electric’s consumers”
