Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken back his decision to support one group in LPC elections within 24 hours after feeling the heat from journalist community.The CM Punjab today contacted the other group contesting LPC elections and have meeting with them.He assured that he has no intention to intervene or support any group in forthcoming elections of Lahore Press Club.He highly valued the democratic right of journalist community to elect their leadership.He made it clear that he had not invited the other group for meeting rather they met him after taking time but I am meeting with you people on my own desire.
Shahbaz Sharif said Punjab Government cherished the services of the journalists for promoting democratic culture in the country and would feel honour to do something for the betterment of the community.
On the occasion,candidate for president Arshad Ansari appreciated the CM Shahbaz Sharif for caring the journalist community and gearing development works in journalist housing society and allotting land for F-Block.
