Lahore: Ministry of Information & Culture will organize annual Naatkhawani competitions throughout Pakistan for celebrating month of Rabi-ul-Awal in a befitting manner. Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema has issued instructions to all Commissioners and DCOs for holding these competitions.
It was decided that Naatkhawani competitions will be held on December 29 at district level and December 31 at provincial level. Boys and girls up to the age of 15 years whereas men and women from 15 years to 25 years will be eligible for taking part in these competitions. The winners of Naatkhawani competitions at provincial level will take part in the competitions at national level.
According to the instructions of Ministry of Information Pakistan, professional Naatkhawans or those Naatkhawans who have earlier taken part in these competitions will not be eligible to take part in these competitions.
Desirous persons should get themselves registered in DCO’s office of their respective districts for taking part in Naatkhawani competitions.
