Chief Secretary orders inquiry against DG Food on female staff’s allegations of sexual harassment

Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Naveed Akram Cheema has ordered inquiry against Director General Food authority Asad Islam Mahni on female staff’s allegations of sexual harassment.

The Chief Secretary Punjab has formed a two members committee consisting upon Secretary Excise and Secretary Women development to probe the matter.

Today,the female staff of the DG office has protested against the Director General Food authority in office for hours and levelled serious allegation against him during live transmission.DG Food dismissed the allegations and stated that the women were being charged for stealing official files and despite submit their reply to the inquiry officer ,alleging me on media,I asked one question when the allegations would be proved false ,who would be there to take responsibility for my character assassination? will anything could bring back these moments of my life when I am being trialed on media for such a shameful allegations ? He requested the media not to broadcast the news and give its judgment before official probe but independent media did not listen his a genuine request and continued its trial on screen.
