Liaqat Baloch expresses his concerns to Indian High Commissioner on forced conversions

Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad, Dr A.C. RaghawanLahore:  Secretary General,  Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has expressed grave concern over the incidents of forced conversions on religion in some India states and has called upon he Indian High Commissioner in Pakistan to explain the position of the Indian government in this respect.

In a letter addressed to the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad, Dr A.C. Raghawan, the JI Secretary General said that the Indian news channels and newspapers besides international media were abuzz with reports of forced conversions of Muslims and Christians into Hindus in India which was not only gross violation of the basic Human Rights charter as also the constitution of the Indian republic.

Liaqat Baloch said there was the hand of the extremist parties and groups behind these forced conversions. He said the people of Pakistan were deeply perturbed over these forced conversions, and added that the world largest democracy must explain its position in this regard.
