Review Committee will follow the merit while making a decision:Pakistan kabaddi players

Lahore: Pakistan kabaddi team, after featuring in two big tournaments – World Kabaddi League and Kabaddi World Cup, gained valuable experience and exposure in 2014 and this exposure will help us in a great way in 2015, this was stated by top national kabaddi players Akmal Shahzad Dogar and Musharraf Javed Janjua while talking to media at Sports Board Punjab office here on Wednesday.

Musharraf Javed Janjua, who is considered among the best stoppers of the world, said that Pakistan team offered excellent performance in the World Cup and the entire world witnessed Pakistan’s dominating performance.

To a question about the controversial result of the World Cup final, Musharraf said that the Review Committee was analyzing the whole proceeding of the match and hopefully they (Review Committee) will follow the merit while making a decision about the outcome of the final. “India needs to follow rules and regulation and above all the merit in their country if they want to promote sports particularly Kabaddi in the region. Indian officials will have to set aside the biased approach if they want to serve the game of Kabaddi in the real sense,” he explained.

Dogar, who is one of the leading raiders in the just-concluded Kabaddi World Cup, said that during the last few months, Pakistan players played against top teams of the world in various parts of the world and learned a lot of things during this period. “We assessed the techniques and playing methods of opponent teams minutely during the two top events. This knowledge will help us in training our players accordingly for the tough challenges of future,” he added.
