Islamabad: Vice President Saarc Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of United Business Group (UBG) Iftikhar Ali Malik on Tuesday said that they have won confidence of majority of the business community and waiting anxiously for election that will result in a pleasant change.
We will cleanse FPCCI of all unwanted practices of corruption, nepotism, mismanagement and ensure supremacy of merit, he added.
Iftikhar Ali Malik said this while speaking to the group leaders of different chambers of commerce. Patron-in-Chief UBG SM Muneer, Patron Mian Zahid Hussain, Regional Chairman of FPCCI SM Naseer, FPCCI presidential candidate Mian Idrees of others were also present on the occasion.
Malik said that now decision would not be taken unilaterally in drawing rooms but with consensus and that we will promote culture of responsibility and accountability in the Apex chamber.
December 29th would be remembered in the history of business community when an operation clean up would be launched and pushed to the logical end, the veteran business leader said.
He said that forex reserves will hit mark of 15 billion by the New Year and law and order situation would have been improved due to efforts of the government and sacrifices of armed forces which will improve confidence of the business community. He lauded the Government for not pocketing benefit of receding oil prices and gave benefit to the masses terming it a great achievement. Lauding the role of deceased VP FPCCI Munawar Mughal, he said that we have lost a good friend and as asset, adding that his mission would by kept continued.

They said that many of us have been serving business community since decades but group controlling FPCCI has never respected them nor sought their advice in major decisions.
They asked all of the chambers and associations to vote for UBG to revive FPCCI and restore confidence of the business community.
The group leaders said that landslide victory of UBG will expose the false claims of the group usurping FPCCI since decades.
