The condemned prisoners mercy petition is lying pending at presidency: IG prisons Mian Farooq Nazeer

Lahore: IG prisons Mian Farooq Nazeer has said that the condemned prisoners namely Zahid,Kamran,Ehsan and Omar Nadeem locked up in Kot Lakhpat jail,mercy petition is lying pending at presidency,till the mercy petition is decided by the president of Pakistan,they would not hanged.

While talking to media,IG Mian Farooq Nazeer said that neither we have received the death warrants from the Home Department nor the decision on mercy petition ,in these circumstances,the execution could not be possible,he added.

IG Prisons said that media has established a centre outside the Kot Lakhpat jail and is creating hype only for rating but we are bound for the law,he maintained.
