Lahore: Vice President of the FPCCI and an important leader of the United Business Group (UBG) of the FPCCI Munawar Mughal breathed his last on Saturday afternoon.
Munawar Mughal who started his career from a student leader soon got prominence in trade politics after stepping into the practical life.
He remained president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce more than once and led Founder Group.
On Saturday he was discharging duties in the FPCCI Capital Office when he experienced heart pain that transformed into a massive heart attack.
Associates rushed him to the hospital but he could not survive. He will be buried tomorrow (Sunday) at 2 pm in the H-8 graveyard, Islamabad.
Meanwhile the leaders of FPCCI, Saarc CCI and UBG including Iftikhar Ali Mali, SM Muneer, Mian Idrees, Mian Akram Fareed, Mian Shaukat Masood, Abdul Rauf, Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Malik Sohail and others expressed deep sorrow over the death of their colleague.
They said that business traders of Pakistan, especially that of Islamabad has lost a patron who had volunteered his life for the wellbeing of the business community.
They offered condolences and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to his family members to bear this irreparable loss.
Services of Munawar Mughal would be long remembered in the history of business community, said Iftikhar Ali Malik.
Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the death of Vice President of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Munawar Mughal. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant strength and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
