Liaqat Baloch calls for the execution of the terrorists death sentence

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the murderers, terrorists and enemies of humanity did not deserve any concession, and the law of the land called for the execution of their death sentence after completion of trial and other legal formalities. He was talking to the media after leading the Friday congregational prayers at Jamia Rahimya, Gulberg, here.

Liaqat Baloch said that the death sentence was implemented all over the world as it created a sense of the respect and sanctity of the law in the society. However, he said, under pressure of a specific lobby working for foreign masters, the death sentence granted to the terrorists and saboteurs was opposed to indirectly help the criminals. He said the decision of the Prime Minister and the Army chief to enforce the death sentence to all those whose cases had completed all legal requirements, should be implemented.

The JI leader said that the rulers as also the nation should realize its lapses and try to make amends. The people in power and the national leadership should firmly resolve to defend the country’s ideology and the constitution. He said the turn of events had given a change to the rulers and they should review the policies being followed since 9/11 and decide the national priorities keeping in view supreme national goals.

Meanwhile, Liaqat Baloch, as Secretary General of the Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC), has convened the meeting of the MYC tomorrow at Peshawar. The meeting will review the Peshawar tragedy and prepare a strategy to prevent its repetition in future.
