Punjab Government will pay salary and pension to Christians on December 20

Lahore: According to notification of Punjab government, salary and pension will be paid to all Christian in service and retired government employees on December 20 in view of Christmas.

Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs & Human Rights Khalil Tahir Sindhu has said that Christmas bazaars will be set up from December 22 to 24 in all districts of the province. He said this while addressing a high level meeting here today. He said that all arrangements have been given final shape in this regard and instructions have been issued to DCOs. He said that instructions have also been issued for the security of Churches in view of Christmas.

Khalil Tahir Sindhu disclosed that a Christmas grant of Rs. 30 million has been approved for sharing joys of Christmas by all, according to which, Rs. 5000 per person will be distributed among deserving persons. He said that instructions have also been issued to all DCOs in this regard.
