Lahore: Punjab Minister for Education & Youth Affairs, Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan has stressed upon the young generation to pay attention to its character building by following the ordains of Almighty Allah and Uswa-e-Hasna of Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) for achieving success in the life. He advised the students to make Pakistan an ideal country by following the golden principles of Quaid-e-Azam “faith, unity and discipline”.
He expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of prize distribution among male and female students getting prominent position in All Pakistan Speech Contests at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore today. The Education Minister said that we cannot achieve any success without accepting the supremacy of Almighty Allah in worldly gains. He said that the people ignorant of moral values who are pushing the youth towards chaos in lust of power should fear of Almighty Allah. He said that our youth will have to make respect of elders as part of their life. Rana Mashhood said that world has become a global village and only those people become successful in practical life who have confidence, ability of expression and creation of respect in the hearts of others. He said that all these qualities can be created through taking part in curricular activities during education. General Secretary Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust Dr. Rafiq Ahmed, educationists Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed Gondal and Aamir Mahmood Cheema also addressed the function.
Meanwhile, Rana Mashud Ahmed distributed certificates among the volunteers on completion of a 5-day training programme of volunteers “caravan” arranged by a youth organization “Youth Advocacy Network”. Provincial Minister also discussed various proposals with President Advocacy Network Fasahat ul Hassan, Executive Director Qaisar Runja and Associate Director Advocates for Youth Aruj Irshad as well as young volunteers from Karachi, Hyderabad, Quetta, Multan and Peshawar. The Minister also arranged a reception in honour of one hundred volunteers having title of “honorary ambassador” of Youth Affairs Department at National Hockey Stadium Lahore. He also assigned various duties to honorary ambassadors of youth regarding reception of delegates of 18 countries participating in “International Young Leaders Conference” to be held at Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore on December 27. President Youth Mobilization Committee of Chief Minister Punjab, Ch. Sohail Aamir has been appointed as General Incharge for the arrangements of the conference.
