Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Sirajul Haq and JI Secretary General, Liaqat have strongly condemned the police torture on the blinds’ rally in the Punjab capital terming it the height of brutality and apathy.

The JI chief urged the government to take stringent action against the officials responsible for the lathi charge.
He said that on one hand, the national team of the blind were showing giving excellent performance, raising the country’s image. The blind people were also doing well in other fields as well. As such, the police action against them was unjustifiable.
He said that expressing solidarity with the disabled on any particular day was not enough. Instead of taking them as a burden on the society, the government should adopt positive measures for making them useful citizens.
